What is a heat pump hot water unit?
A heat pump hot water unit looks like a regular hot water tank and it stores hot water as per usual.
The difference is that instead of using a conventional electric element to heat the water, a heat pump hot water unit uses a special type of reverse-cycle air conditioner that is used to heat the water inside the tank.
It uses around 1/3 of the electricity compared to a regular electric hot water unit which is great for saving on electricity as well as the environmental benefits.
